Bio

Design

I AM PASSIONATE about my work and love to communicate my ideas. I specialise in conceptual and UX designs using Photoshop and Illustrator infused with my HTML and CSS skills.

I’m often described as a conscientious designer who brings a range of different skills. My real focus and goal is to bring emotions and simplicity to design, to make one think and smile while bringing usefulness. For design is lost without its purpose. I enjoy experimenting with new technologies and approaches that can bring forth a different perspective. Music is my most important inspiration and you’ll always see me with my headphones on, anywhere I can. Literally.

Work

I have over seven years experience in UX, conceptual design and interaction design. A primary focus over this time has been the design and development of web technologies across digital platforms. I’ve worked with variety of clients, from fashion design to large financial and television organisations.

I’ve also worked on leading the rebranding of all Channel 4 verticals as well as implementing visual improvements to the current sites.

Throughout these projects, I begun producing a styleguide (including examples) which will help with art direction and interaction, for agencies and the development team.

I’ve had the pleasure of creating visuals and HTML & CSS for the different sites within the E4 website, including shows such as Skins, Misfits and the Cleveland show. One piece I really enjoyed was rebranding the E4 Games website – where I came up with the idea to create artwork based around a mario-style game.

I worked on the user interface design of RI3K’s web applications for major clients such as Lloyds, SwissRe, Aon, & Brit. I worked on a major redesign of RI3K’s Marketplace application. Working together with the BAs, IA and many Directors to take apart and simplify the web application’s several complex processes – capturing intricate data, displaying information in different formats and methods, as well as handling the overall visual design.

I was given the design lead to work on another project, fish4’s CV database – allowing recruiters to search for potential candidates. I focused on producing a design that was simple. Introducing concepts such as modular CSS and jQuery framework integration.

Just me

I lived all my life (nearly) in London. Pondering about a move to Stockholm in the near future.

I love photography as I find it helps capture frozen time in its most honest form. I also have recently taken a passion in laser engraving and wood work. The outlet helps channel inspiration back into my designs.

I love my dark and complex movies, ranging from Donnie Darko to Memento and I can’t forget about my big love for Manga films. You could also say that my love for music is just as complicated as my taste for films; ambient electronica fan. I love anything by Boards of Canada and Jon Hopkins.

A book is always in the arm’s length. I mostly read books that help influence my design; it be psychological or informative; I make an effort to bring connection.
