She writes “I have got a syrian hamster just over a week ago. I really liked it. He was so cute and he was sleeping in the food bowl when I first saw him in the petshop. I have only managed to stroke him with one hand when he’s in the cage until last week, I was struglling putting in and out from/back to the cage to the exercise ball. I am not sure if it is the reason that I might have scared him and since he became rather aggressive. He bit my finger very hard that the tissue was covered in blood when I was trying to touch him again. He was rather jumpy when I tried to touch him. Since then he has been hiding in his own little house and covers the window and the door with the bedding in the cage. He took all his food from the bowl when I was asleep or when I went to work. He eats there, sleeps there, cleans himself then and everything. I haven’t seen him for 3 days now. I have just tried to get him out with the pen and he bit it twice very hardly as how he bit my finger.
I don’t know what to do and I am considering to get rid of him which I am quite recultant about it….. I am just stuck and don’t know how to go further with him anymore.”
