E4 Games

Introduction

e4-games

Create generic branding for E4.com Games website along with a summer theme (Great British Summer of Games).

I done some research and I found the Nintendo sites that were designed by F-i had a great theme while still maintaining clean design. I thought it would be good to use characters to incorporate into the generic branding. This would ensure a long-standing theme that could adaptable to changes of the site, while preserving the gaming characters, users would used to seeing.

E4.com/games

E4.com/games is a site for casual gamers – bored office workers, students and lazy buggers at home – which reviews and links to games online. It’s not a console game site, or a news site. All the games featured are built in Flash and housed somewhere on the web.

Great British Summer Of Games

The Summer Of Games promotion is an ironic take on the Great British Summer, typically over-optimistic and inevitably washed out. Think garden parties, summer fetes and trips to the sea-side, ruined by typical British weather. Think Lily Allen’s LDN: parochial, cosmetic attempts at jollity and levity, laced with an undercurrent of filth, violence and misery. Red, white and blue bunting torn down in torrential downpours, ice creams on the pavement, ‘70s campsites.
