Garden Bird Supplies is part of Flying Brands. eCommera was redesigning two of their sites and we were given the opportunity to do this website for them.
The aims of the redesign were:
- To give the site a fresh look
- Making the shopping process easier
- Improving the overall usability in terms of navigation and site content
Solution
Design
Initial designs were trying to keep with the old logo – somewhat traditional feel with some modern curves. Hence using wood panel background for both the header and footer areas.
Another design was created, which aligned itself more to their other already redesigned websites.
Since the site has a niche community around it, I thought it would be good idea to have a story-based/blog part on the home page to keep users interested in all things bird-like.
